1. What EVShowcase is
EVShowcase is a free educational tool that estimates electric-vehicle fuel-cost savings against a comparable gas vehicle. Estimates use public data from EPA fueleconomy.gov, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The site also hosts community forums for owners of specific electric vehicle models.
2. Estimates are not guarantees
The savings figures shown on this site are estimates based on regional averages and your inputs. Actual fuel costs vary by driving style, weather, charging behaviour, and market conditions. EVShowcase makes no warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, and is not responsible for purchase decisions you make based on these estimates.
3. Your account & forum content
You may create an account to save calculations and post on the forums. You are responsible for the content you post. Don’t post anything illegal, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.
4. Sharing data for research
You can choose to share your anonymous savings data so other drivers can see real averages on the forum for your car. You can opt out at any time from your account settings. We never publish identifying information.
5. Free service
EVShowcase is free to use. We may rate-limit or temporarily disable features to keep the site within its operating budget.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
